FEM based time-domain simulation of CMUT/PMUT based ultrasonic sensors (Advisor: Prof. Sheng-Shian Li) [Feb 2020-Jan 2021]
Worked on the industry-university (Egis-NTHU) collaboration project on FEM simulation and modelling of ultrasonic finger print sensor to resolve the time domain and spectral information of pulse-echo signals. Also worked on the mask layout design of CMUT devices.
SAW devices using nano/microstructures for high mass sensitivity biosensing applications (Advisor: Prof. Harshal B. Nemade) [Aug 2013–Dec 2017]
3D finite element simulation and fabrication of SAW devices to investiagte the coupled resonance effect by designing ZnO nanords and SiO 2 micro-ridges on the surface of the device. Appropriate aspect ratio of these structures causes sharp decrease and increase in the resonance frequency of the device. Such a configuration is very sensitive to mass attachments due to increase in the contact stiffness of the device and can be used for high mass sensitivity biosensing applications. SAW devices were fabricated and coupled resonance was experimentally verified and the device was used as a biosensor.
Silicene and Germanene: A first principle study through DFT simulations (Advisor: Dr. Rajnish Kurchania and Anurag Srivastava) [Dec 2011–Mar 2011]
Using first principle calculations the structural and electronic properties of silicene, germanene sheets, and nanoribbons is studied. Buckled silicene and germanene are more stable than their planar counterparts Hydrogenation of these structures tend to open up an energy band gap.
Computer Controlled Electrical Switch using RS-232 [Feb 2006–May 2006]
The electrical loads can be switched on and off via relays by pressing keys on the keyboard of a PC. The signals from the PC are interfaced through RS-232 interface and the load is well isolated by optocoupler ICs.
PC/Remotely Controlled Land Rover [Jan 2007–May 2007]
A three wheeled rover is designed that can be operated using a remote control or with the help of a PC using both Infra-red waves and high-frequency waves giving a good wireless range of operation. An encoder and decoder pair was used in the transmitter and receiver PCB circuit. The rover had functional left/right turn indicators.
