The Event:
Welcome to the 8th edition of the Tristate Uttaranchal Community Cricket Tournament! This will involve overarm cricket played with heavy tennis balls. Kids, spouses and elders are welcome! A Kid's cricket set will be available for kids to try out the game. Volleyball, football and soccer balls will also be available for more entertainment. We will organize a youth soccer game as well. The park has tennis courts for those interested in playing some tennis. And ofcourse, the entire park is available for the kids to enjoy.
!!! SPECIAL ATTRACTION THIS YEAR: Two cricket bats for the tournament from Unmukht Chand – India U-19 Captain, winner of the 2012 U-19 World Cup.

Event Fees:
Per person fees –
Adults: $15, Kids: 10 yrs and above: $10, Kids under 10 yrs are FREE
Player entry: Men: $10 extra, Women play FREE
Tournament Format :
The men’s tournament will have two groups (Group A and Group B). Each group will consist of two teams. Teams will play round-robin within the group. Top 2 teams from each group will reach the semi-final. The winners of the semi-final will play the finals.
The women’s tournament will be “Best of one” match between two teams.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE :
Tournament Rules :
Rules for the tournament –
1. The men’s match will be 8 overs each inning and women’s match will be 4 overs each inning.
2. Each bowler can bowl a max of 2 overs.
3. No balls will be judged for both height and over-stepping.
4. A Wide or No ball will not lead to extra run but an extra ball will be bowled.
5. No balls will follow the Twenty20 Free Hit rule. The extra ball will be a free hit ball. This means the batsman cannot be out on this delivery except run out.
6. The bowling side will get additional fielders to make a total of 8 fielders (including a bowler and a wicket keeper).
7. In the case of a tie in a match, the team with lesser loss of wickets will advance.
8. In the case of a tie in a group, the following rules will be applicable in following order:
A. The team with the best run rate advances to the next round
B. The team with lesser loss of wickets will advance to the next round
9. We will follow the remaining standard cricket rules.

KIDS GAMES :
YOUTH SOCCER GAME :
This year we will have a youth soccer game. We will form two co-ed teams and conduct a 20 mins game. The age cutoff will be 8 yrs. Bring your favorite soccer jersey and proper gear. NO CLEATS PLEASE..SNEAKERS WILL DO. We will provide the soccer ball and goal posts.
The game will be organized by - Akash Patwal, Rohan Bhatt, Shashank Dimri and Yukta Chand.

There are 8 tennis courts close to the cricket ground. We will try to organize a tennis session for the kids. If interested please bring your tennis racquets and balls.
