Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much are blueberries?
A: We sell our blueberries for $3.75 a pound. We price this way because we use no toxic herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides on our berries and visitors enjoying eating berries while they're picking!
Q: Can I buy pre-picked blueberries?
A: Pre-picked berries are usually available. However it can only be guaranteed if you call ahead and we have enough staffing on the day you call (especially for larger orders). Our phone number is 781-974-3597
Q: Do you sell any other goods?
A: Baked goods made with blueberries may be available. We also give away recipes for such goods.
Q: When's the best time to come pick berries?
A: Thursdays are a great day to come during the week since the berries have had time to recover on Monday-Wednesday. On the whole, the best time in the season (which lasts from mid-July to the end of August) is early August, but we guarantee that you will find ample blueberries whenever you can make it! Since there are so many varieties of high bush blueberries, there are always different varieties coming in at different times.
Q: Do I need a rake or my own buckets?
A: No! Since these are high-bush blueberries, there's no bending. We also supply enough buckets and containers for the entire family. If you would like to bring your own containers to bring the berries home in (and save some containers or bags in the process!), that is always appreciated.
Q: What forms of payment do you take?
A: We take cash only. No checks or credit cards.
Q: How should I store my blueberries?
A: Blueberries can be frozen on cookie sheets and then put in containers for long-term storage. They also last for up to a week or more in the refrigerator in an open container.
