Mary Stuart Rankin
A George Rankin marries a Mary Stuart on November 11th 1795 in Trinity Church in New York City.
George Campbell Rankin is the son of George Rankin and Mary Stuart, born about 1801. He works for the East India Company says Eunice Tripler.
In order to be cousins, then the mother of Charles Stuart Rankin is a sister of Jane's and brother of Charles Stuart. This is not surprising since she names one son Charles Stuart Rankin.
George and Mary live in Canada. They have at least seven children.
Charles Stuart Rankin.
George Campbell Rankin. This middle name may have to do with the uncle Eunice Tripler describes as Archibald Campbell. It is also a common Scottish name.
Three of the boys are baptized on May 18, 1817 at Saint Gabriel Presbyterian [Ancestry link] church in Montreal. Charles Stuart seems to be present at the baptism.

1782, Bermuda. Charlotte Stuart is born about 1782 in Bermuda according to her age in the 1851 census.
A Charlotte Eliza Duncan Stuart marries William Shippey on March 31st 1804 at Trinity Church in New York City.
Charlotte also names one of her sons Charles Stuart Shippey.
William Shippey and his brother-in-law Francisco del Hoyo are in business together in 1843. There is a court case over the Paterson Machine Company which intends to sell machinery to Mexico. William Shippey's wife Charlotte is a sister of Harriet Tripler del Hoyo.
The 1850 census lists Charlotte as 68 years old and as having been born in Bermuda. That means she was born about 1782. She is living in Illinois with her son Martin H. Shippey.
Charlotte and William's son Hugh Stewart Shippey was born on October 10, 1822 and baptized at Trinity Church on November 24, 1822.
