TRB 102nd Annual Meeting Chair Packet
1) Important Announcements and Materials
a. Code of Conduct – The official policy of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine regarding discrimination, harassment, and bullying. It is not required to be read aloud, but all attendees are encouraged review it.
b. Instructions for Chairs – Information to assist with managing your committee meeting(s). It also includes Emergency Procedures for the Marriott Marquis and the Convention Center. Please review these pages prior to the meeting.
c. Blue Ribbon Committee Awards – Awarded to TAD standing committees that have been committed to recognizing these voluntary contributions and to encouraging innovation in committee activities, promoting new approaches, incorporating new technologies, and sharing best practices.
d. Preparation of Minutes – Our standard guideline regarding how to prepare minutes from your committee meeting.
e. Meeting Sign-In Sheet – This is a sign-in sheet you can use for your committee meeting. Please ensure everyone has the opportunity to sign-in.
2) General TRB Updates
a. MyTRB Chair's Dashboard Instruction Guide – Chair’s Dashboard in MyTRB provides a more efficient way for chairs to manage committees, subcommittees, and friends.
b. Global Affiliates – TRB is seeking new organizational partners to join its Global Affiliates Program to help promote TRB’s mission of providing independent, objective, research-based solutions to improve transportation.
c. TRB Webinars and Podcasts - Webinar suggestion forms submitted from March 2 to July 1 are processed and webinars are scheduled from September 1 to December 31; July 2 to November 1 are processed and webinars are scheduled from January 1 to April 30; November 2 to March 1 are processed and webinars are scheduled from May 1 to August 30; Join TRB's Transportation Explorers Podcast. This series gives voice to the many volunteers of the Transportation Research Board and other leading transportation experts.

d. TRNews – TRNews Needs Articles! TRB invites you and your members/friends to submit articles to its bi-monthly magazine. Reach out to trnews@nas.edu.
e. Research Pays Off – An announcement that TRB is looking for articles showcasing specific benefits of research.
f. Committee Research Coordinators Council Update – An informational summary about the activities undertaken by the committee research coordinators council over the last year.
