Commander Zimm is a crack pilot of the Terran Federation elite scout forces. His psychological profile was such that he could not be put into a ship with other living human beings, so they stuck him in a small scout with robots. This made him happy. On the few occassions where he was forced to work with other human beings the negative feed back from the survivors was so bad that eventually a decision was made to cashier him. Before releasing him onto the unsuspecting public however he was given 6 months of intensive re-programming in an attempt to make him at least a little more human. This was partially successful, he can at least tolerate others without killing them now. Just to be on the safe side the Scouts dumped him at a far off dive where they hoped he would be killed.
Currently he is looking to get a new ship, either by killing people or by working with them and killing them later. Hopefully he will find other like minded people, at least that way things will be interesting.
