Ở Venice, Ý, người ta đi lại bằng những con thuyền dài mũi cong (gondola). Người chèo thuyền (gondolier) đưa du khách tham quan thành phố , vừa chèo, vừa hát những bài tình ca Ý như O Sole Mio,...
Gondola và Vespa là những phương tiện giao thông đặc trưng của Ý.
Gongdolier (Người chèo thuyền) là một bài hát tiếng pháp do Pete De Angelis, và Jean Broussolle phát hành 1957 và được phổ biến qua tiếng hát của Dalida.
Bài hát có phiên bản tiếng Anh "With All My Heart" là hit của Jodie Sands ở Mỹ và Petula Clark ở Anh.

Phiên bản lời Việt có tên Yêu Nhau Trọn Kiếp do Thanh Lan ca trong băng nhạc Phạm Mạnh Cương 9
Trong băng này (với chủ đề Hương Xa), Thanh Lan hát 3 bài: Tình Hoa (HX 34), Yêu Nhau Trọn Kiếp và Bến Chờ (Moulin Rouge) (35:40).
Bến Chờ là bài nhạc phim (theme) cho phim Moulin Rouge (1952), với tên bài hát là "Where Is Your Heart" (Muriel Smith hát thay cho Zsa Zsa Gabor). Bài nhạc do Georges Auric viết, lời (Pháp) nguyên thủy được viết bởi Jacques Larue (với tên "Le long de la Seine"), lời tiếng Anh do William Engvick viết. Tuy nhiên trong phim, bài hát mang tên là "It's April Again" lấy nội dung từ Le long de la Seine, tác giả chuyển thể sang tiếng Anh làPaul Dehn, và không có câu nào dính dáng tới "Where Is Your Heart" (!).
Đã vậy nhiều ca sĩ khi hát lại lấy tên:Moulin Rouge, và hát bằng tiếng Pháp bài "Le long de la Seine".

Năm 2001, phim Moulin Rouge được dưng lại, với Nicole Kidman (Giải Quả Cầu Vàng/Golden Globe).
Phim được đề cử 8 Oscar và thắng 2. Nhạc trong phim là bài "Come What May", do Ewan McGregor và Nicole Kidman trình bày cũng là bản được nằm trong AFI's 100 Years of Musicals /hạng #25)

và ở Dalat
Cả 3 bài do cô Thanh Lan ca, phần lời Việt cùng với 4 bài khác được đề là "khuyết danh", tôi nghĩ, không ai khác mà chính là ông thầy Phạm Mạnh Cương vậy! Tiếc là trong băng có rất nhiều bài không tìm được ca từ. Mà nghe thì, rõ lời chỉ khoảng 80_90%, cũng không thoải mái lắm.
Kệ! Cũng là quí lắm rồi, những bài cổ xưa chỉ tìm thấy trong những băng xưa cũ!
