Watches

Seiko SRPK043 - Better known in watch circles as a "Spork" - 43mm across not including the crown - 50 hour power reserve - This one has been upgraded with a sapphire crystal - It looks great on the orginal bracelet or on a nice leather strap - 200m depth rating - It also has superb lume - These have been discontinued by Seiko and are fast becoming a much sought after collector's item - These have doubled in value recently.

Seiko SKX009 - The favorite of many Seiko dive watch fans - 42mm across not including the crown - Depth rating of 200M - Utilizes the time tested 7S26 automatic movement with a 42 hour power reserve - This one is on a jubilee bracelet but these also look nice on a NATO strap - It has the typical awe inspiring Seiko lume too - Some trivia for you: This is the watch worn by Robert Redford in the movie "All Is Lost".

1986 Seiko H558-5009 - This is better known as an "Arnie" as it's the watch that Arnold Schwarzenegger wore in "Predator and "Raw Deal" - It's a analog/digital hybrid that's 46mm across not including the crown - It's depth rated to 150 meters - This particular watch is in excellent, all original condition - It's one of my favorites.

Seiko SBPG001 Solar/Atomic Digital - This watch is solar charged so it never needs a battery....it will run for sixth months on a full charge - It's also "Atomic" which means it sets the time automatically by the U.S. Atomic Clock located in Ft. Collins, Colorado...so it's always dead on time-wise - No longer made by Seiko these are becoming more rare and collectable - These come with a VERY comfortable bracelet....one of the best I've run across.

1979 Seiko 7548 quartz diver - 42mm across not including the crown - Depth rated at 150 meters - Dark blue dial with a "Pepsi" bezel - A solid workhorse of a watch - It has a highly accurate and reliable quarzt movement - These were discontinued long ago by Seiko but there are lots of fans who are constantly searching for this model in the used marketplaces - This one is on a distressed Teddy Hanna leather strap.

Yobokies custom-made Fifty-Five Fathoms - 41mm across without the crown - This was originally a Seiko SNZH59 - It has an aftermarket custom dial, custom hands, and a custom chapter ring - The idea is to mimic the famous Blancpain 50 Fathoms model....without spending $30,000.00....hence, the Fifty-Five Fathoms model.

"Yobokies" is really Harold Ng - He's based out of Hong Kong and has a stellar reputation in the watch modding community - He carries a ton of bezel inserts, crystals, chapter rings, custom hands, etc. - BTW...."Yobokies" Is Seiko Boy backwards. :)

Seiko 7A28-7049 - The first quartz chronograph ever...that's right...the first...and it was Seiko who did it - This is still a great watch....40mm across not including the crowns....the always reliable 7A28 movement...very comfy on the wrist....and my favorite vintage Seiko time piece.

1978 Seiko 6309 - This is one the Seiko dive watches that all collectors desire - A beefy 44mm across not including the crown - A great wrist presence - The classic 6309 movement - These watches are still sought after by collectors of every ilk - It's the perfect watch for all but the dressiest occasions.

Casio AMW-320 - OK...I can hear you now: "What's the big deal? You can find these anywhere" Oh yeah....well find one with a white dial - These have been long discontinued and are nearly impossible to find with a white dial....especially in this sort of condition - This is a hybrid analog/digital - 46mm across not including the crowns - Go ahead...try and find one. :)

Hamilton H715560 Chronograph - Absolutely one of my favorite watches - Swiss Valjoux 7750 movement - Sapphire crystal - 42mm across without the crowns - Wonderfully accurate - 40 hour power reserve - Great as a dress or a casual watch.

Ok...now for a bit of the "now" - This is a Garmin "Fenix" - It's what it called an "ABC" watch...Altimeter. Barometer, and Compass - It's also a fully functioning GPS unit - It can tell you where you're been....how far you have gone....and it can even show you how to backtrack your way back to your originally starting point - In GPS mode it connects to the positioning satellites that are in orbit above the earth....pretty cool.

This is a 1975 Seiko 6139-6002...better known as a "Pogue" - It is called this in honor of Colonel William Reid "Bill" Pogue - This was the watch worn by Colonel Pogue on Skylab 4 back in 1973-74 - He was on board the space station for a total of 84 days (Nov. 16, 1973 to Feb. 8, 1974) Colonel Pogue actually used the chronograph function on this watch to time the engine burns to re-position the vehicle. A wonderful piece of horological history.

Here's a great link which tells the story of the connection between Colonel Pogue and this watch:

Seiko SKX173 dive watch - It uses the 7S26 movement - This features a "lollipop" seconds hand, Day/Date at three o'clock, and the legendary Seiko lume - It is 42mm across not including the crown - A solid 40 hour power reserve - This watch answers the question "What do I get my Dad/husband/brother/significant other for his birthday/Christmas?" Buy them one of these...it will be a hit...you cannot go wrong.

I also own a few "tool" watches - These are rugged dependable "grab and go" watches that are designed to withstand the rigors of just about any activity.

The top one is a Casio GW-5600J - This is a "JDM" watch (Japanese Domestic Market) and is available in only limited supplies domestically...if at all - Don't let it's "Plain Jane" appearance fool you....it's a power packed little gem - Atomic timekeeping....solar charging (never needs a battery change)....full chronograph function including a countdown timer and stopwatch...and dual time capability - Can't go wrong grabbing this one going out the door!

The bottom watch is a Casio PAG-240 - It is also solar charged and is another "ABC" watch (Altimeter, Barometer, Compass) - It's huge at 53mm across but weighs next to nothing...it's very comfortable on your wrist - It even has an auto light feature which makes it extremely worthy in the dark - It's on a custom-made Shane Delaurian leather strap with a PVD buckle....I love this watch.

This is an all time favorite - Seiko SBBN015 Marine Master Professional....better known as a "Tuna" due to the fact that the shroud surrounding the watch case resembles a tuna can - 48mm across not including the crown....a very beefy watch - Depth rated to 300 meters (1000 feet) - This watch uses the deadly accurate Seiko 7C46 quartz movement - These are only available via import from Japan....I bought mine from Seiya-san in Tokyo (www.seiyajapan.com)....it's one of the best purchases I have ever made.

1991 Citizen AquaLand dive watch - These are getting more and more popular with collectors - 51mm across not including the crown - Full dive watch functions including a LCD depth meter - Large lumed hour markers - And typical Citizen performance - BTW....did you know that the largest manufacturer of watches in the world is Citizen? No foolin'....

Seiko "Aliens" Pulsemeter - This is the same watch that was worn by the Colonial Marines in the movie "Aliens" in 1986 - There are many variations of the Pulsemeter that resemble it...but this is the correct model with the correct screen - Very rare and collectable....I was able to find one that included the original box, etc.
