CHAMPION MINE TRAIL RACE
Please join Sierra TrailBlazers Running Club and Bear Yuba Land Trust on October 12, 2025 as we showcase Nevada City’s exciting running trails with the first-ever Champion Mine Trail Run!
This new half-marathon (13.1 mi) course cruises through towering pines, crosses a historical swinging bridge, and offers challenging climbs. The course rivals most trail races in Northern California, with plenty of aid stations, historical landmarks, and a newly constructed trail with a variety of terrain. Runners will experience breathtaking views as they run up to the Tribute Trail, carefully cross Deer Creek, and experience a variety of beautiful landscapes. The icing on the cake is starting the run on Nevada City’s historical Broad Street.
This is a MUST-DO race for trail runners with a mix of pavement, gravel, and single track. In addition, a 5K race will also be available for those who would prefer a shorter distance.
