Qualifications and experience

After a long career in business, I decided to become an English teacher and chose Prague for my training.  

I passed the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) in Prague and now have five years teaching experience. 

I have experience teaching mostly adults and older children at all levels, as well as small groups. I have taught General English, Business English and English for Specific Purposes as well as exam preparation classes. 

I teach British English and my accent is closest to a southern British accent. I speak standard English, similar to what you may hear on TV or on the radio in England. 

Before becoming an English teacher, I worked in administration and marketing in London for many years. I have experience in the following sectors: marine & energy insurance, healthcare, advertising, corporate reporting, real estate, diplomatic corps.

I studied marketing and business administration in London. I obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing (Dip.M) from Bromley College of Further and Higher Education and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Kingston University, London.

I have attended many business training courses in customer care, management, IT skills, as well as personal hobby-related courses in my areas of interest, e.g., sailing, scuba diving, interior design, Asian cooking, photography and others.
