Dr. Kishor P. Sarawadekar

Dr. Kishor Sarawadekar is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), Varanasi. He received the B.E. degree in electronics engineering from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India in 1996 and the M.Tech. and Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and VLSI design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He has vast experience of industry and academia. His research interests include algorithm and architecture for image/video processing, image coding system JPEG 2000, bio-medical image processing, and related VLSI designs.

Prior to joining IIT (BHU), he has brief work experience at Defence Institute of Technology, Pune. He has worked as a Software Engineer in Xilinx India Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India where he has worked on reference embedded system design. He has been reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Journal of Real Time Image Processing, Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering etc. He was a Member of Board of Studies for Electronics Engineering at Sant Gadage Baba Amravati University, Amaravati, Maharashtra. He was also the chair of Digital Integrated Circuits-2 track in 2016 IEEE 59th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), Abu Dhabi, UAE.
