This is an overview of where I worked and what I studied:

2013- : Post-doc researcher and lecturer, Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, University of Groningen. Supervisor: Russell Spears.

2012: Research associate, School of Psychology, Cardiff University. Supervisor: Tony Manstead. Project: Regulatory function of social emotions in cooperation.

2010-2012: Marie Curie fellow, School of Psychology, Cardiff University. Supervisors: Russell Spears and Tony Manstead. Project: Enlightened or just less threatened: Education and anti-immigrant attitudes.

2007-2010: PhD in Social Psychology, Université catholique de Louvain at Louvain-la-Neuve. Promotor: Vincent Yzerbyt. Title: Feeling like a group member: Social identity, group-based appraisals, and group-based emotions.

2006-2009: Master in Quantitative Analysis in the Social Sciences, Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven) and Catholic University of Brussels (KUBrussel), with greatest distinction. Dissertation: An affiliation goal increases group-based emotions. An analysis of multivariate data using multilevel modeling. I proposed that multilevel analysis provides a better way of analyzing multivariate data than multivariate ANOVA and offered some guidelines for the use of multilevel analysis for multivariate data.

2006: researcher at the Department of Sociology of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Supervisor: Ignace Glorieux. I was researcher on a project about public library effectiveness, public library drop out, and public library users’ reading preferences.

2004-2005: Master of Science in Evolutionary Psychology, University of Liverpool (with distinction). Dissertation: The function of emotions in intergroup contexts.

2003-2004: Master in Economics (Diplôme d’Etudes Complémentaires en Sciences Economiques), Université catholique de Louvain at Louvain-la-Neuve (with great distinction).

October 2001-July 2003: researcher at the Department of Sociology of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Supervisor: Mark Elchardus. I was researcher on a project about regional differences in educational attainment in Flanders. This project consisted of secondary analysis of quantitative data.

1997-2001: Master (‘licentiaat’) in Sociology, University of Ghent (with great distinction). Dissertation: Categorisation, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination: conscious and unconscious processes in sociobiological perspective.
