After completing primary school in Ljubljana, I enrolled in High School Šentvid in Ljubljana with the emphasis on technical courses. In the last year of my studies I successfully completed a research work on air resistance of geometrical objects named Air resistance, coefficient of air resistance and wind tunnel (si.: Zračni uport, koeficient zračnega upora in vetrovnik). I achieved a second place on Slovenian national competition of research works.
After finishing High School I began studies on Faculty of electrical Engineering in the year 1997/98 in University of Ljubljana. I graduated as a bachelor of science in the year 2003 in the field of Automatics specialized in Robotics. The mentor was prof.dr. Janez Drnovšek.
In the same year of my graduation I began working as a senior development Engineer at Research and development department in Iskraemeco where I also had my scholarship. In the same year I started my studies on Master's degree at the faculty of electrical engineering. I graduated as a master of science in 2006.
Work at Iskraemeco involved research and development of embedded software specifically for microprocessors used in electronic electrical meters and testing related SW.
As a senior development engineer I worked on implementing several different communication protocols such as COSEM/DLMS, IEC870-5-102, STOM, IEC1107, SMP etc. My work mostly involved development and implementation of such protocols and peripherals for embedded SW specifically for industrial and domestic electronic electrical meters. Projects were related to AMR and AMI system for industrial and domestic use. During the years of working at Iskraemeco I gained specific knowledge on electrical meters, data acquisition and mostly on how AMR and AMI remote meter reading concept works.
In 2007 I began working at Printecgroup of companies. The company operations involve bank information services, ATM services and HW support, bank branch automation, security services and consultation. In the company I work as a senior software engineer and I'm responsible for software development, project management and consultation. My line of work involves ATM specific knowledge, bank branch and retail automation.
During the past years I have been involved in projects related to ECB Banknote Recycling Framework, NCR AANDC related ATM SW, TITO gaming technology, kiosk and retail software development and implementation consultation. Basically this means product design, working with clients in order to produce Functional implementation specification, SW development, testing, proof of concept development, providing help with User acceptance testing, pilot implementation and production environment migration.
