I am a Full Professor of the Department of Economics (Instituto de Economía) at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My research interests are econometrics, labor and development economics.

I am Research Fellow of the IZA Institute of Labor Economics and Editor of Economia Lacea Journal.

On march 11, 2026 I assumed the role of Minister of Labor and Social Security of Chile, and have been on leave from my academic position since that date.
