Waldorf pedagogy preschool teacher
Passionate music educator
Creative musician with classical piano training
Born in a small town in central Russia, I came from a family of pedagogues—my grandmother was a kindergarten principal for over 20 years and my mother taught music to preschoolers for over 15 years. In school, I completed an 8-year music academy, studying music theory, solfeggio, chorus and piano. I graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts with a Masters in Social Pedagogy and Anthropology. My professional experience includes that of music teacher and piano accompanist in a preschool and organizer/host of children’s parties and events. Additionally, I worked as a project manager organizing international children’s art festivals across Europe and Russia.
I am currently a lead teacher at The Children's Garden Preschool in Grant Park where I work with a group of 3–4 year old children following a Waldorf-inspired pedagogical curriculum. I am also creator of Music Snack, a Russian-language parent–child music class curriculum in Atlanta.
My husband and I have two daughters: 6 year old Eva and 5 months old Yunona; a dog named Boogie and a cat Blueberry. Besides my native Russian, I am also fluent in English and French, know some Spanish and incorporate those languages into my music classes. I enjoy my vinyasa yoga practice, tending to my front yard garden, cooking and making all kinds of crafts.
