Todd Dolata, Owner/Operator

Experience & Leadership:

Todd Dolata, is owner & operator of T & L Excavation, Inc. He began his excavation experience as a teenager working for his dads' family owned septic & excavation business in 1985. During this time, he ran backhoes, excavators, & graders. After setting out on his own in 1991, he worked on the road for Cape Construction in Racine, WI. During the 12-year period he worked for Cape, he started as a backhoe operator, dozer operator, working at General Mitchell Field Airport building runways, finish grading, and heavy highway work. Shortly, thereafter he moved on to working as a foreman where he began gathering his lakeshore restoration experience doing breakwater retaining walls at Bender Park, on Lake Michigan.  In 1998 Todd was promoted to Superintendent for Cape Construction. Operating and overseeing various jobs such as airport runway jobs, Milwaukee River restoration, which involved removing concrete spillways and replacing it with natural rock & boulders, and the Menominee River diversion, to name a few.

In Todd's 40+ years of excavation experience Todd has worked with a diverse group of people, including but not limited to Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewer District, Wisconsin DOT, Milwaukee County Airport Engineering, City of Racine, City of Kenosha, City of Adams, Adams County Land and Conservation, Adams County Parks & Recreation.
