The goal of this WebQuest is for students to become experts on a certain topic that relates to To Kill A Mockingbird. Each student will learn all about one of these areas by reading through the websites provided, answering questions, and completing slides in which they'll share with the class.
1. Each student will be given a number 1-6. This number corresponds to the group the student is in. Each group covers an area to be investigated. Group 1: About the Author, Group 2: The Scottsboro Boys, Group 3: Jim Crow Laws, Group 4: Mob Mentality, Group 5: The Great Depression. Group 6: KKK/Lynching in the South
2. It is important to independently read through the articles on Day 1. Answer each question as you are reading.
3. Then, your group will create slides (at least one per question). Divvy up the slides equally (names should be on the slides). You should use bullet points, not sentences, and be sure put it in your own words.
4. Last step: Add images and polish (have everyone in the group look at slides). This is a group effort. If your group-mate has errors or is missing items, that affects the entire group.
