Education
Hello everybody! I have a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Lee University. I also earned a Master of Divinity from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary right here in Cleveland, Tennessee! I have also completed coursework pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Experience
I graduated from Lee College in 1984. I taught for a couple of years serving at two private schools in Florida. My experience in the private sector includes three years of teaching at Mount Paran Christian School in Marietta, Georgia. My experience in the public school in Florida includes thirteen years of teaching at Hardee Junior High School and Hardee Senior High School where I was the Teacher of the Year. I served the University of Tennessee at Knoxville as a Graduate Assistant supervising interns in the Education Department while pursuing the Ph.D. for the 2018-2019 school year. I returned to Ocoee Middle School in 2019. This brings me to my 35th year of teaching for the 2021-2022 school year. This is my 17th year at Ocoee Middle School. I am so thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve the students of Bradley County at OMS! Go Colts!
Bio
The Lord called me to teach while I was attending the United States Air Force Academy. I resigned my commission in 1981 and began a wonderful journey into teaching that continues to this day. My interests include running, hiking, rock climbing, water skiing, SCUBA diving, and snow skiing. My teaching of World History is enhanced by my travels throughout the United States and in foreign countries like Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia, the Ukraine, and Iran. My wife Denise is a teacher. We have two beautiful daughters.
