Revolutionary War Triangle
Yorktown, Jamestown & Colonial Williamsburg
The start middle and end of the Revolutionary War
The was not enough time to see everything we needed to see in these 3 towns. The area is full of history of the time and to fully appreciate the history presented will take much more time than we were able to devote. We are now making plans for our return in October '08 when we hope to bring some of our grandchildren with us to experience the area.
The towns listed below are links to individual pages for each one.
These pages will be developing over a period of time, both because of my sightseeing getting in the way of my posting to the web, and as I read more of the information we picked up while there that I will want to add to the pages.
First English settlement in what would be the United States. There are two locations, the original Fort and a replica of the Fort that has been rebuilt so you can see what the area looked like as well as talk to the people of the time
Basically the birthplace of the American Revolution. Here people such as George Washington, Patrick Henry etc. dreamed of freedom from English rule and developed the plans for becoming a free nation.
