Come in and Get Vrot

Since 2023 a number of reports and news stories have remarked on the similarity of themes, with life during the 1970s and 1980s – global military and environmental threats, labour unrest, financial skittishness, and the Ukraine --  in addition, the theme of separating propaganda from real news. It was also a time of experimenting with music.I thought, why not re-issue Come in and Get Vrot - a recording made for circulation to friends. This primitive recording is about as close one can get to a taped field recording, with the exception of taped over harmonies here and there. Then there are the technical music glitches!

This free download includes an illustrated brochure on lyrics and background to some songs.

Miscellaneous Half-breed Blues

New South African Dream  Graham Owen sings his  wicked tongue-in cheek story.  An unwitting prediction of the composition of the currrent South  African National Anthem!
