Brad Rusnak’s career in music began with Basil McDonald in 1977, taking his first lessons on the organ. With Basil’s guidance and inspiration he was studying Grade 8 piano at the Avila Music School within 3 years. Brad went on to win the Silver Tray at the Thunder Bay Lakehead Music Festival two years later. Studying under Sister Immaculata and Deb Buset he graduated with his Western Ontario Conservatory of Music Associate Piano Performer Diploma and Associate Teacher’s Diplomas in classical music. Brad then attended McGill University majoring in Jazz Piano Performance. Fully qualified and a professional piano player here in Thunder Bay, Brad passes on a lifetime of music education to his students.
-1990-1999-full-time piano teacher establishing Brad Rusnak’s piano studio and member of the Ontario Music Teacher's Association.
-1999-2007-pursued a career as a professional musician in California, touring throughout the USA, Europe and Australia as a blues piano/keyboard player.
-2007-settled back home in Thunder Bay, his daughter Ella is born. Reopening of Brad Rusnak’s piano studio.
