About the Artist

Welcome to my studio!

As a nature lover and an artist, I started out as a nature and animal photographer. I spent a good amount of time hiking on the Appalachian Trail, in the various local and historical parks, and natural areas; capturing the wildlife and nature through my photography. I attempted to find a way to show people the natural world as I saw it. Unfortunately, the digital nature of photography made it difficult to share my passion with individuals; especially those who wanted a piece of my work in their home.

By etching my works into glass, plastic, metal, bone, and other materials, I found I could share my passion with others by creating items that are both useful and beautiful. My etching has now expanded to include many different designs and images, which I hope you will enjoy. The Etching Process

All of my etching is done, using a Dremel tool. I do not use sandblasting, chemicals/acids, laser, or a computerized etching tool. This allows me to etch just about anything, provided I have an image to work off of. The video below shows me working on a custom decanter order, etching the Yin-yang Koi image.
