Amanda and Edward Thomson have been creating miniature scenes for about 17 years. We started with 1/12 scale dolls house projects, but now specialise in smaller scale scenes inside book boxes, tins and other novelty containers.

These include libraries inside books for lovers of literature, wine bars for lovers of wine, exotic and oriental scenes, and very British works such as scenes from Dickens and Jane Austen, miniature kitchens inside Harrods tea caddies, typical pubs and tiny reproductions of stately homes.

To meet specific requests, we have also created an old­ fashioned dentist's surgery, a Victorian classroom, a pharmacy, a haberdashery, an artist's studio, Christmas scenes and wizards' dens.

Amanda has made several children's nurseries, fairy tale scenes and conservatories.

We exhibit work regularly and have had work displayed in museums and featured in newspapers and magazines. Some of our press coverage, including a Surrey Advertiser article and BBC Surrey interview, can be viewed on the Press page. You can often find us at local art & craft shows around the Guildford, Surrey area.

Prices

All our miniatures are created individually and are therefore priced individually. As a rough guide, prices range from £50 - £125.
