Christmas Hamper

The Charity Raffle Christmas Hamper generated a profit of £220.  A big thank you to all members who bought tickets.

The Hamper was won by Quiz regular Hilary Heslop, who asked that the £220 be donated to the local Malvern Wells Scout Group.  This we have done.

Financial matters

With the increases in energy costs and price increases across much of our product range, preliminary figures show that we are heading for a worse position than was forecast for 2023.

Your Club is financially sound, we have adequate reserves to cover losses [current and forecast] but we have to get to a position whereby we are not drawing on reserves.

The solution is obvious, we have to increase our prices. New prices, which are still lower than local pub prices, will take affect from 1st February.

Bingo – Next session Saturday 27th January

Eyes down at 8.30 for a chance to win the £105 Jackpot carried forward from our last Bingo evening.

Even without the Jackpot, players can win back their entry fee in a number of ways.  It is a sociable evening for not a lot of money.

Quiz nights – Wednesday 31st January and continuing fortnightly

If you would like to come to a quiz, but haven’t done so because you are not part of a team, come anyway – we will always find you a team to join.

The Club opens at about 7.45 but the quiz doesn’t get going until about 8.15 to give us time to settle everyone into a team.  The entry cost of £3.00 includes light refreshments.

We have selected our Quizmasters up to and including 15th March, anyone wishing to set a quiz from 27th March onwards should have a chat with Ken.

Green Party Quiz Night – Saturday 17th February in the Village Hall

Malcolm Victory is running a Green Party fundraiser upstairs in the Village Hall on Saturday 17th February starting at 7.30.  £6 entry fee includes a Jacket Potato meal.  Usual Club style quiz with a usual Club style Quizmaster [Ken]
