Scholarship Fund Instructions

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit the following:

• Completed Tax Ladies Scholarship Fund Application
• Copy of Current Class Schedule
• Essay - it can be one already written to submit with a College Application
  • OR, in lieu of an essay,

Write a Personal Statement that includes the following:

• One person who has influenced you the most
• Honors or awards you won while in high school
• Participation in school or community activities

Your name, school, or school district must not appear anywhere on, or in the body of the essay.

PROCESS

As each Essay or Personal Statement is received, the application containing the student information will be coded and separated from the essay. A corresponding code will be placed on the essay and given to a committee for judging. The committee is comprised of representatives from the field of education. Essays and Personal Statements will be scored based on the following categories:

• Content
• Mechanics
• Style
• Originality

DEADLINE

All applications must be received or postmarked by Thursday, April, 30, 2020. Applications can be dropped off at The Tax Ladies Office or mailed to: The Tax Ladies Office 17 MacDade Blvd. Suite 111 Collingdale, PA 19023.
