PHIL 140: Contemporary Moral Issues. An introduction to a select variety of moral issues in contemporary life, such as animal welfare, global justice, environmentalism, procreation, abortion, and media consumption.

PHIL 203: The Rights and Wrongs of Killing People (Signature Course). An introduction to ethical issues surrounding the killing of people.

PHIL 209M: Artificial Intelligence: Brains, Minds, and Machines (Terp Young Scholars). An introduction to philosophy of artificial intelligence, focusing on its theoretical foundations and ethical issues surrounding its application.

PHIL 209T: It's About Time (Signature Course). Do moments cease to exist when they recede into the past? Does time actually pass, or is it just a psychological illusion? Using time travel as our central example, this course examines these questions through the lens of philosophy, science fiction, and physics. 

PHIL 220: Bioethics. A Scholarship-in-Practice course on the fundamental concepts of bioethics, via exploring issues in topics such as human and animal research, allocation of scarce medical resources, prenatal genetic interventions, and physician-assisted dying.

PHIL 320: Modern Philosophy. A survey of selected philosophical topics in early modern European philosophy through an examination of Descartes, Amo, Newton, Leibniz, du Châtelet, Hume, and Kant.
