Work Life

I am an Information Systems/Information Technology worker in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada).

My current job provides a variety of tasks. I enjoy new opportunities with collaboration platforms, special projects for process improvement and nurturing my creative writing skills. One of my favourite tasks is delivering IT on-boarding sessions and SharePoint training for new employees. Due to the high turnover with my employer since 2020, I have been doing this A LOT lately. On the plus side, it appeals to one of my childhood dreams of being a teacher.

I am open to positions that don't require as much commute time where I lose two hours out of my day just to sit in a cubicle performing the same tasks I can perform in a remote setting from the corner office at home, tasks I have completed effectively since March 2020, the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and public health protocols.

I am looking for part-time opportunities to apply skills I have acquired from recently completing an Archives and Records Management program.
