Place: Tony’s Rec Room. 27101 Aliso Creek Road, Suite 136, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656
Buy-in: $40+10* (*$10 goes to the end of the year TOC and for purchasing cards, chips, etc. No person or business profits form this home tournament)
Starting Chips: 3000. (3200 with bonus chips)
Rules: TDA rules will be adhered to as strictly as possible, with any ruling focused on the fairness of the game and for the betterment of the tournament.
Yearly Points: Players will earn points each month toward the end of the year TOC. The top 20 in points will be invited. 2015 TOC details at the bottom of the page.
Number of pre-registered players will determine the number of starting tables: Tables will be seated with 7-10 players each. Tables will break on a multiple of the starting table number. For example, if we start with 3 tables of 7 (21 players) we will collapse 1 when we get down to 14. The final table will be formed based on the largest number at an initial table plus one not to exceed 10. Using the above example we would seat 8 at the final table.
Seat assignments will be random: Each player will be assigned a seat at random when buy-in is collected. The only exception to this rule may be a designated tournament director in order to be positioned to efficiently conduct tournament “business” but will not affect the randomness of his/her own table.
Number of total players will determine payouts: The number of players in the money will be 15% (rounded up) of the starting players plus one who gets a free-roll into the following months’ tournament. Percent payout to each player earning money will vary depending on the total number of players.
Chop? At no time may the players chop or discuss a chop. Because the TOC is based on points, and those points matter to those still not in the tourney, It gives an unfair advantage to those discussing the chop who are in the running and can “trade” cash for those points. After a decided upon chop, players change how they play because the money has already been decided and those who are not in the running can give away those points without understanding the affect to the entire tournament.
Summary Table:
* Percent of remaining prize pool once the free-roll is removed
