MINISTRIES

Youth Ministry

Our pre-teens and teens receive special care and support from our volunteer youth team through our partnership with Anchor Bay Church. In addition, youth grades 6-12 meet most Sundays from 4:00-5:30pm at Anchor Bay Church (10 Dane St. in Beverly). Youth group builds community through games, snacks, and fun activities while also having Bible lessons on what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Finally, every summer our children and youth raise money through the church to attend Christian camps in New Hampshire.

Children's Ministry

Children and youth at Pilgrim are welcomed as full participants in the life and mission of the church. We believe that children are not the future of the church but a very vital part of its present!

Because we believe that children are vitally important to our church and that they build critical relationships with God and with fellow believers in worship, we invite children to worship the first and last Sundays of the month. On the other Sundays, we offer children's church for children ages 3-13 and nursery for children ages 0-2 (nursery is available every Sunday).

Sunday School is our prime time for Bible teaching. Children ages 3-grade 3 study a curriculum that takes them through the whole Bible in 4 years and helps them apply it to their daily lives. Children grades 4-8 have a separate group that allows them to grapple with some of the questions they have with life and faith while building an authentic Christian community that has fun!

Pilgrim also offers Vacation Bible School every summer where children ages 3-11 can come and learn about Jesus and the difference he makes in their lives through music, crafts, Bible stories, drama, and games.

Prayer Ministry

Pilgrim is a place for inter-denominational prayer and worship. Through our participation in the 10 Days of Prayer, our goal is to see believers on the North Shore gathered together to pray for our churches, our community, and the world. We remember Isaiah 62, replacing "Jerusalem" with our towns, particularly verses 6-7: "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth." We ask for revival, for unity among the churches, for the move of God locally and worldwide.

Pilgrim also has regular prayer during the week, Wednesdays at 7pm, in order to lift up the needs of the church and local community. On Sundays, we also offer prayer after worship for individuals in need.

Clothing Closet

In partnership with Ellis Square Friends, Pilgrim offers a free clothing closet to the community on the first Thursday of every month from 5:15-6:30pm. We offer seasonal men's, women's, and children's clothes.

Worship Team Ministry

Our worship team leads the congregation in a blended worship of hymns and praise songs, using the gifts of those on the team to sing, play instruments, pray, and encourage the congregation. Worship is a time where Pilgrim's multicultural, multigenerational congregation really shines. Worship team practice is on Sundays at 9:30 am.

Outreach Ministry

We have a vibrant outreach ministry to those struggling with addictions and who desire health, healing and hope-filled living. We will come along side you to offer support, strength and encouragement. We will support you in your recovery meetings and/or programs, and we will invite you to bible studies or support groups that will fortify you in your recovery efforts. You will not be alone; some of us have "been there, done that," and will listen, love and pray for your wholeness and ultimately holiness in Christ.
