This year 1º ESO and 1º bachillerato are going to be working on a collaborative joint project about Britain. 1º ESO will be working on the project during the first term. Depending on how it goes, they will continue during the 2nd or possibly the 3rd term. 1º bachillerato, on the other hand, will be involved for the whole year.
Why 1º ESO and 1º bachillerato together? Well, why not? Working together and sharing experiences and knowledge is one of the best ways to learn at any age.
As part of the project, 1º ESO will be reading "All About Britain" and 1º bachillerato will be reading "A foreigner in Britain", both by Editorial Burlington.
You will be carrying out different tasks towards a final product, a website/brochure on how to be a perfect Brit. This final product will be shared with the rest of the world at the end of the academic year...hopefully.
1º bachillerato will also be working certain aspects of this project on social networks: a private page on Facebook and Twitter.
Let the fun begin!
Banksy
Working on this project you will be developing most of the skills needed for acquiring meaningful learning nowadays such as the linguistic, digital, social, cultural and artistic competences, learning to learn how to learn, personal autonomy and determination, among others.
Besides, you will be practising many of the contents needed for 1º ESO and 1º bachillerato:
Listening and talking
Reading and writing
Language Knowledge (tenses, adjectives, connectors, vocabulary related to everyday life,...)
Sociocultural aspects
It seems a lot of work, but no need to despair because there is a whole year ahead and we are all full of beans.
