The New Delhi Llamas play the music of Blues, Surf, Rockabilly, Western-Swing and Rhythm n' Blues. These sounds suit a range of occasions, from dancing to dining!
With the music of iconic artists like Carl Perkins, The Chantays, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Muddy Waters, BB King, Buddy Guy and The Fabulous Thunderbirds; we aim to play a blend of up-tempo music and soulful blues. Our sound entertains, with a sense of energy and fun.
The core of the band is the dual Fender-guitar pairing of Andrew Silver and Neill Levine; they also share lead vocal duties.
Andrew is an accomplished veteran of the Sydney rock scene, playing guitar with the Dynamic Hepnotics during their heyday in the 1980's. His experience shows in his singing and guitar-playing.
Neill is a player from the current Sydney jazz s
cene (Inner Urban Jazz Trio), enjoying the change of pace with the Llamas. He brings a new vigour to these great songs, and cheekiness to the vocals!
With the experienced Ralph Mitchell (ex-Rock Monster) walking and grooving on the electric bass,
...and Neil Cuneo (The Booze Brothers) locking it in on the drums, the Llamas have a serious 'engine room', that will get the dance floor moving.
The New Delhi Llamas bring experienced hands to these great rock and blues songs. They dress with a sense of occasion and always give the audience that feeling of being involved with 'something special'. We can help impart that feeling to your venue, and have your patrons clamouring for more!
