You can park at the wide entrance to the access track which can be followed to the summit. The track is boggy in places and there is a variation not obvious in ascent which bears right off the main track at the bend at NH593299 which is a bit drier. You can also get to it by ascending the heathery slope W anywhere on the final straight.
