We went up from the forest road at NJ291484 on the occasion of Alan Dawson's last non-St Kildan Marilyn following the Speyside Way (forest road) to NJ300493 then right on another forest road to the summit clearing where a path led to the summit. This route is 4.5 miles with 1150' of ascent.

The route from the W from the car park at NJ333492 using forest roads and cycle tracks is the same distance with 900' of ascent.
