19C Cnoc Moy and The Slate

You can drive on a very rough road to Glenahanty where you can park just further on by the bridge. Do not attempt to go further without 4WD as the steep hill on the other side of the bridge is very loose. The route to Cnoc Moy is straightforwards, following the track past Gartnapcopaig to follow a fence direct to the summit.

To continue to The Slate head NE across the col to follow the forest boundary (sparse towards the top) then E to a junction of fences. A good path through a forest ride continues E to the summit in a groughy area.

To return to the car retrace your steps to the junction of fences then follow the fence S then SE to NR 63265 16262 where a good forest ride heads SSW to NR630156 then SW to a stream at NR628154 and out of the forest. Follow a path generally alongside the fence to the woodland at NR629144 and on to the bridge.
