17A Biod an Athair

There is parking for several cars at the road end (The Manners Stone) at NG181546. Head down through the abandoned village to cross the stream at NG178546 just below an low locked iron gate which can easily be stepped over. Head WNW through bracken (in season) to pick up a good path at NG176547. (The going on the N side of the burn is far easier than on the S side). The path heads more or less parallel to the burn to an ancient grass covered wall at NG168545 which is followed WNW till it bends round S. Cross to an obvious grassy rake (where sheep congregate) then cross the ditch to pickup bits of tracks which go most of the way to the trig point atop a huge cliff. Points on the tracks are NG16515 54700, NG16315 54830 and NG16055 54905.
