12A Sgurr Marcasaidh, Creag Loch nan Dearcag and Carn Faire nan Con
There is a small car park at Conan Falls House from which these three hill can be climbed.
A new road leads from the far side of the Luichart Dam to join the road to Glenmarksie. There is also a vehicle track, not shown on some maps, running to NH354579 from Glenmarksie through the forest which is not obvious on the way out. The ascent of Sgurr Marcasaidh from around NH365581 is straightforwards.
Drop down W to pass Loch a' Bhealaich on its S side then SW to pass Loch a' Chairn Duibh on its W side. Head SSW, climbing a deer fence en route, to an obvious gully which gets you onto the ridge to to Creag Loch nan Dearcag. From the summit head ESE to around NH339565 where you can drop down NE then ENE, heading for the vehicle track on the far side of Allt a' Ghlinne.
Back on the E side of the Luichart Dam, you can get through a gap in the fence to follow a bracken infested clearing running parallel to the loch which meets an old track at NH391586. This track / path follows the line of the power lines to the ridge W of the summit from where it is a straightforwards ascent to the summit of Carn Faire nan Con.
