Character Creation
We will be starting at level 1.
Any race that is the PHB or Wildemount book is allowed other than Aarkocra.
Please use the Point Buy System for determining ability scores.
Use your classes max HP for determining your starting HP.
You will start with your class starting items (max gold for your class and that gold can be used to buy any additional items, anything from the PHB is allowed) plus your background starting items.
Background
If you need help with background ideas you can use the Heroic Chronicle. Feel free to roll randomly of the tables, pick what you like, or come up with something individualized to your character.
At level 1 you might have lived a long life but have never gone adventuring. When thinking of a story, think of why at this point you are going out adventuring.
You will be traveling to Odessloe, think of reason why your character would be traveling to this city and at the start you are all traveling together, we will work out why the group is together before we start.
House Rules
Potion Use
Using a potion is a bonus action, unless you are in melee range of an opponent or feeding the potion to another player then it is an action.
Invisibility Rules
All creatures know the starting location of the creature once it goes invisible.
An invisible creature who is not hidden does not automatically give away their position.
Any character who wishes to know the invisible creature’s position may use the Search Action(perception check) and attempt to perceive the location of the invisible creature.
If the invisible creature is hidden, the Perception check (Search Action) has to be equal or higher than the creature's Stealth check (Hide Action). If the creature is not hidden, the Perception check (Search Action) automatically succeeds.
Once the invisible creature’s position has been pinpointed, the perceiving creature is able to maintain the target’s position even as it moves until the invisible target goes behind total cover or takes a Hide Action (Stealth Check).
A player can ,as a bonus action, announce to the rest of the party, the invisible creature's location. The rest of the group will know the location of the invisible creature until it moves.
Attacking, casting a spell, or doing any loud actions reveals the invisible creatures location.
