The Breakthrough!

Trevor Jacobsen endures to win his first career Green Jacket!

Trevor entered the final round two behind Matt Gillen who opened with a 72 at Gates in his first career Kaanitz round. On Monday in Round 2, Todd Kuntz jumped out to an early lead with a birdie on 4 and an eagle on 5. Jacobsen responded by making a historical back 9 charge with birdies on 12, 13, 16, and 17 to take a 3 shot lead into the final hole. However, on #18 Jacobsen found the dreaded row of trees on the right and made double bogey. Kuntz had a 25 foot birdie putt on the last that would have forced a playoff, but it rimmed out and Trevor celebrated in his first ever title in dramatic fashion!
