After 18 weeks of training, I can't say I honestly stuck to the schedule, got sick, had the flu and generally flet bad probably for 4 weeks in total from about week 12. This put a dent in my training nut did let me get a 3hrs 32min finish in the marathon, painful cramp (seems to be the bain of my life - put it down to lazy stretching) achieved one of my two goals - under 3.30hr - missed that one only just, 2nd to beat a work colleague - Paul, achieved, beat him by 12 seconds, caught him in the last 1 km after he was 5 mins ahead at the 36km mark (the turn in St Helliers).
All good, break for next year and only plan for the half - under 1.30hrs though. Next the Coastal Challenge !
