SonneBlauma Danscz Theatre
From 1998 - 2011 SonneBlauma was under the Artistic Direction of Misa Kelly. In interest of fostering collaboration and co-creation this company morphed into ArtBark International in 2012, co-founded by Misa and Stephen Kelly, Mojca Majcen, with Trina Mannino added as a core collaborator in 2013, and Cecily Stewart added as a core collaborator also in 2013.
We build ethically based social capital embracing principles of conscious leadership, non violent communication, innovation, and playfulness as planet tenders, humanitarians, change agents, and citizens of the world.
Founded in 1998 by Misa Kelly, Stephen Kelly, and Sarah Wingren, our programming has touched over a million lives either directly or through our online presence.
Our history includes having serviced the community through free to low cost umbrella services, educational outreach, community outreach, and growing a local contemporary dance company (SonneBlauma Danscz Theater) into an award winning international collective (ArtBark International) garnishing many contemporary dance firsts for the City of Santa Barbara, CA.
Our community has a rich history of innovation, inclusiveness, sustainability, artistic excellence, and community building on a local, national, and international level.
We lead, and because of our ground breaking efforts, it is easier for those who follow.
