KEY CHANGES for 2025:
There are 12 Signature Events. All money earned in these events will be 60% of what is listed.
Scottie Scheffler will earn 80% of his real earnings in our league
ex: Scheffler earns $5M for a win at a Signature Event, he will earn only $2.4M in our format. 60% for Signature event and then 80% of that because he is Scottie. If you played him as a Wildcard, its 75% of that $2.4M number.
Champions Tour still included (Doubling Prize Money)
15 Wildcards. Can be used at any time.
FORMAT:
2 Divisions instead of 3
Each Division has a Separate Draft
We will draft 12 players. With 10 teams, that’s 120 players
Champions Tour still included (Doubling Prize Money)
Scheduled DP Tour Events also still included (no Euro conversion - all money listed considered USD)
Winnings count for only Champions Tour, DP Tour and PGA Tour (no LIV)
LIV Tour players CAN be drafted AND/OR picked up, and still used as a Wildcard, but only PGA/DP Tour money will count (No LIV money). So you take the risk of drafting them if they will only play 4 or 5 events all year.
3 Week Playoff last 3 weeks of PGA (Matches Fedex Playoff events). Winner take all for the final payout.
$200 to playoff winner
Top 4 teams from standings from each division make playoffs (total season, not session II). Overall money resets.
This will be 2 weeks of total money, then the top team from each Division after those 2 weeks will faceoff at the Tour Championship. All teams will be allowed 1 additional Wildcard to be used any of the 2 weeks.
Since there is no money paid out at the Tour Championship, the winner will be based on team total Strokes under par for that final week. If it ends a tie, the winner will be the team with the player the most strokes under par. If still a tie, winner will be the team with the most players playing in event. If still tied, we split the $200 prize.
SEASON SCHEDULE:
We will start with the Sony Open (Jan 11th) and finish with The BMW Championship (Aug 17th). There are 30 weeks and we will break into 2 Sessions of 15 weeks. Session I ends with the RBC Heritage / Corales Puntacana Champ. (April 18th). Session II starts the following week with the Zurich Classic. There are weeks where there are TWO PGA events and they both will count. The playoffs (NEW) will begin with the FedEx St Jude Championship on 8/15/24 and last for 2 weeks. Tour Championship will match the 2 remaining teams in a stroke play format.
DRAFT:
We will carry a roster of 12 players. Our drafts will begin on Thursday, December 26th. Drafting 1-10 in Round 1, 10-1 in Rounds 2 and 3, then snake draft from round 4 to 12.
WILDCARDS:
Can be ANY player, but not one of your current rostered players. You can play 15 wildcards throughout the year. BONUS Wildcard to the team that owns the winner of the Tournament of Champions before our season starts. You also can only use each wildcard player once throughout the year and can load up in Session I or II or just spread them out as you wish. You still only receive 75% of their earnings. The maximum number of wildcards you can pick is ONE in the given week. You can select a Senior or European Tour player as a Wildcard if you want, but they also will only receive 75% of earnings.
NOTE: There is still a $50k penalty should your Wildcard miss the cut. No Penalty if he WD’s. If he does not tee off and withdraws, it is not considered used.
SENIOR TOUR PLAYERS: We are keeping the CHAMPIONS TOUR Players this year. Also, you are not required to draft one or have on your roster if you do not wish to do so. This player’s money earned counts whether they played a Champions Tour event or a PGA Tour event. There is no limit on how many Seniors. You can have as many as you want to fill your 12-man roster. Double Earnings for Champions Tour Events
European/DP Tour:
European players used in European Tour events will receive money that will be in Euros. I am still not doing the conversion so whatever it states on the https://www.europeantour.com/dpworld-tour/ website as earnings will be considered “US dollars” even though it is listed in Euros. Obviously if these players play in a PGA or WGC event, it is PGA US Dollars. If a PGA player plays in a Euro event, it is back to what is listed on the Euro website as earnings. You do NOT have to draft any of these players. You can also pick as many as you want, just another option.
TRANSACTIONS:
Maximum 1 move allowed per week. They are still all free. We do have IR, but need documentation of some sort that they are really injured. If you put a player on IR and pick up a player, that is a transaction. If you take a player OFF IR and drop a player, that is not considered a move and you are allowed another pick up that week if you choose.
LINE-UPS DUE:
All wildcard or transactions requested need to be made by 7am the day of the tournament. (earlier the better please and give more than one choice of pickups). If tee times are earlier, then at least 1 hour before tee time please. Transaction priority if based on OVERALL STANDINGS. Lower in the standings get first choice per round of pickups. IMPORTANT: if you have a player that WD’s in round 1 (including Wildcards) and you want to make a pick up of a player that has not teed off yet, you may do so.
