The removal of the ideas and spirit of supercessionalism and replacement theology from all Christian discourse results in a situation where there are Christians with faith in the Messiah of Israel who no longer have a church or traditionally structured assembly. For the very idea of an independent and universal gentile church or religion is based on an interpretation of the Gospel, the Good News, spoken of in the writings of the Covenant Made New, which are supercessionist and originate from the spirit of replacement theology, the theology that was first institutionalized by King Jeroboam in the establishment of the norther kingdom of Israel.
