Gardening in the Park

VOLUNTEER GARDENERS ARE NEEDED!

In order to maintain the vibrancy and beauty of THE COMMON GROUND gardens, we are always looking for eager hands to tend to them. Volunteer Gardeners meet at the park on the first and third Saturday of the month from April through to November from 9 am until 12 noon. Tools and gloves are provided. All sessions use hands-on learning; we follow the cycles of the garden and use organic methods, identify insects, answer horticulture questions, all while enjoying each other’s company and doing our part to beautify Sayville. We also have ‘non-gardening’ chores if you prefer to stay out of the soil.

Gardening in the Park usually takes place from 9:00 am to noon every first and third Saturday,

but join in when you can!

September 4 & 18

October 2 & 16

November 6 & 20
