The house was gorgeous and felt very safe and comfortable there. Bathrooms were nice and just felt very homey. Would defintely stay there again! Jeanine was very helpful with any questions or concerns that we had.
Amazing property in a beautiful, tradewind cooled location!

My wife and I booked the Cactus House for a month long trip in July of 2022, our first time in Aruba. When we travel we enjoy getting a house and trying to assimilate into the culture as much as possible. The Cactus House was perfect for this. Located on the edge of a nature preserve about two miles from the Palm Beach area, it was far enough away from the tourist area and located in a Noord neighborhood so that we felt like a part of the community rather than visitors.
The house itself is beautiful. Two very nice bedrooms with Queen beds, a lovely living room with a large flat screen and air conditioning throughout the house. We were pleasantly surprised to find a kitchen already stocked with things like spices, coffee filters, sugar, baking supplies, plenty of pans, plastic storage containers, plastic storage and garbage bags, paper towels, dishes, glasses, utensils, pans, etc. Additionally the owner and property manager actually went to the store for us ahead of time to get some basic provisions as we arrived in the middle of a tropical storm that shut down the island. This allowed us to have food and drink on our first night when otherwise we would have gone hungry as the island was under a shelter-in-place warning. (Note: This is exceptionally rare and the storm ended up being some heavy rain and no real wind. We literally have worse storms on any average month in Ohio.)
The house has a beautiful patio and backyard living space with a lovely pool. We spent days when we weren't feeling like the beach just laying in the pool in water hammocks that were provided, tanning, drinking tropical drinks and basically soaking in as much vitamin D as we could. On beach days we would choose a beach, grab beach chairs from the huge assortment provided by the property owner, and head out to swim, snorkel or just enjoy time under a palapa watching the waves move up and down.
The kitchen comes with a full size, American style refrigerator complete with Ice Maker and Water dispenser and a full size, 5 burner stovetop and oven. The stove and oven are propane and a little tricky to figure out, but we used them throughout the trip without issue, except that occasionally the heat of the stove would setoff a fire alarm in the kitchen (no smoke, nothing burning so sort of odd.). Opening the kitchen door resolved this.
Overall it was the best vacation we've ever taken and the best property owner we've ever worked with. Thank you so much!!

Hi Mary,
This was my first time in Aruba and what a great experience it was.
I loved your place, especially the location being within walking distance to all the hotels, beaches and the restaurants.
And, having your house at the end of the street gives it great privacy. it was like home away from home feeling.
I felt like I am in heaven, sitting at the patio and looking at the amazing shapes of cactuses, watching all the birds and relaxing at the pool .
I also have to say, your quick responses, sparkling clean house and finally your house manager, Izaira made my experience such a positive one. I will recommend the Cactus House to all my friends.
