2019 Reunion Recap

Hello Burma Bridge Busters. The 2019 Reunion has come and gone.

We had a great time getting together. We visited the Purple Heart Hall of Honor and West Point. We had a fantastic lunch in The Thayer Hotel with LTC Dave Siry as our speaker. Dave showed us the work he's doing gathering video biographies of veterans and was able to interview BBB vets, Tom Griffith, Joe Barrett and Murray Schenker. He also interviewed Mary (Shirley) Barrett who was a Nurse Cadet in WWII.

We were fortunate to have two 490th Missileers in attendance, Tsgt Terry Butterfield and Capt. Alex Hernandez. Two very fine gentlemen we are honored to know.

The banquet was one to remember. We were treated to Dawn O'Day, and her WWII era musical stylings not to mention the Bob Hope impersonation from Dawn's father. Murray got some cheek to cheek dancing in, the ladies were lined up to hoof it with him.

Next year, we're headed to Philadelphia, with the tentative dates being October 1,2 and 3, 2020.
