SLOW-PITCH SOFTBALL RULES WITH SOME ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES : Such as No stealing bases, No sliding or diving to a base, You May over-run all bases. Everyone bats in the batting order for the whole game. Men hit a 14 inch ball mountain ball pitch, Women hit a 12 inch slow pitch softball. All games played at Keolu Park on Sundays, No Practice days, just Games. Fun League not for the serious softball players, more of a recreational league for older people to get out, socialize, make friends, and play softball. "Like the good old days playing at the park as a child".

SOME EXPERIENCE IS RECOMMENDED , such as Little League baseball, or Bobby Sox softball or played Highschool ball. Women with experience is preferred for safety reasons. Men with too much experience and overly competitive nature are not needed, this is a fun league not for the win at all costs mentality.

Family orientated, we like to have Entire families playing; Husbands,Wives, Mothers, Fathers playing along side of their Sons and Daughters, Brothers and Sisters, we have them all. We try to keep friends and family on the same team. Unless requested otherwise, " Sometimes sibling rivalry never ends".

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:

Women ages 21 years and up and Men 30 years and up,

Men ages 27 and older may play if they coach a community youth sport.

PREFERRED PLAYERS live on or be from the Windward side

$40 Registration fee is collected by your team captain on your first day of play.

If you decide not to play , a refund will be returned to you .

QUICK OVERVIEW: We are a mens and women Mix Softball League for mature and not so serious players. We are very competitive but enjoy a relax environment that promotes safety in our games. ALL games are played on Sundays only and ALL games are played at KEOLU ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARK, also known as Keolu Hills Neighborhood Park. Parking is available on the street (Keolu Drive). We are trying to get the school parking lot to be opened as it has always been for over 50 years.

We have 8 teams this season all named after birds, each team carries about 5 women and 9 - 10 men. Everyone bats in the batting order for the whole game. The League is lots of fun and you get to make new friends and sometimes find old childhood friends from: Elementary School, or the Park Leagues like "Bobby Sox," and "Little League", or good old Hanabada days.

PLAYERS NEED TO SHOW UP FOR AT LEAST 3/4 OF ALL GAMES: Teams rely on players to show up and play, when players start missing and teams have to forfeit because they don't have enough players to field all the positions, you not only let down your team but also the other team who showed up to play as well. People join the League to have fun and to play as a team so players need each other to make this work . Please try to make all your games, your team needs you.

SOME SAFETY RULES :

* No stealing of bases.

* No leaving a base before the batter hits the ball.

* No bunting.

* No sliding or diving into a base.

* No throwing out batters at first base from outfield.

* Substitute runners allowed after reaching first base.

* You can over-run all bases. but you must return to touch the base before advancing to the next base.

* All players bat for the whole game. Batting Line up alternates between Male and Female batters.

* New players are advised of all rules by your team Captain .
