With the amalgamation of the Dragoons with the South Alberta Light Horse, the "Society" aspects have been removed. The site has obviously been moved to make updates easier. The intent still remains however to spread the good word of the Dragoons across the www!

The amalgamation of the South Alberta Light Horse and the 19th Alberta Dragoons has been made official! The Dragoon history is now combined with that of the SALH!

Pic added of Col Jamieson in Chicago circa 1917. Further research has been completed on his final resting place and plans are underway to have a proper headstone placed.

WW1 Section has down-loadable word doc detailing a first hand account of the charge at the battle of Cambrai and a separate first-hand document detailing the mobilizing of the Dragoons. Also have added a summary doc of the war diaries which are in progress (approx 50% complete)
Col Jamieson bio has updated information to include the location of the Colonel's final resting place.
The SALH have also recently received a sizable donation of original uniforms, saddles, and weapons of the 19th Alberta Dragoons. Of significance is the original full dress tunic from then Major Griesbach and the Honourary Colonel's tunic worn by Col Jamieson. Pictures of some of these items to be posted shortly!

Back from Afghanistan. Will be updating the site soon. Newest information has it that the 19th Alberta Dragoons have been officially amalgamated with the South Alberta Light Horse! The lineage is continued...
