PD Cabrera Assumes TESDA- Isabela

During a two-year period, TESDA- Isabela undergone quick leadership turnovers four times, the most recent of which is the assumption of its new Provincial Director, Dr. Vilma C. Cabrera, CESO VI, last August 6, 2021.

PD Cabrera, a native of the City of Ilagan and a former executive of the Department of Education in the Divisions of Isabela and the City of Ilagan, took the helm upon the retirement of her predecessor, then PD Igmedio S. Casticon who exited from the service last August 5, 2021.

A hardworking person and a self-professed advocate of good and clean governance, Dr. Cabrera started her career with the agency last December 2019 as Provincial Director in Benguet then transferred to Quirino province last February 2021 and subsequently moved to Isabela.

Landing to her new post with her feet running, so to speak, and showing early her ‘always on-the-go’ kind of a leader and a person, Dr. Cabrera started her first day by having a courtesy call to the provincial governor, Hon. Rodolfo Albano, III, in his office at the Capitol where they have discussed, among other things, the programs to be implemented for the benefits of Isabelino farmers.

This was followed immediately by a courtesy visit to the office of the city mayor, Hon. Josemari L. Diaz which turned out productive wherein the city chief offered a lot to be used for the agency’s provincial office.

Capping her morning chore, PD Cabrera proceeded to the Isabela School of Arts and Trades and, together with RD Archie Grande, attended the Usapang Pangkapayapaan, Usapang Pangkabuhayan (Up Up) virtual meeting.

On the afternoon of same day, she had a meeting with her staff where she made some revision on the work assignments of personnel taking into consideration the eventual transfer of some employees to the Provincial Training Center. She underscored her policy of strictly adhering to the Code of Conduct for Government Employees and encouraged them to get away from prohibited acts, specifically on accepting gifts so as not to compromise the professionalism and impartiality in dealing with clients.###ABD
