TESDA Isabela participated in the recently conducted Job Fair 2026 organized by the Provincial Government of Isabela through the Public Employment and Services Office (PESO), reaffirming its commitment to connecting skilled workers with meaningful employment opportunities.
With more than 40 participating employers from various industries, the Job Fair served as an avenue for job seekers to explore career opportunities and engage directly with potential employers.
Two of TESDA Isabela's Technology Institutions, the Isabela School of Arts and Trades (ISAT) and the Isabela Provincial Training Center (IPTC), delivered Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) services to job seekers. These services included information on scholarship programs, available training opportunities, National Certificate (NC) renewal, and technical assistance, helping participants access skills development and employment opportunities.
Several TESDA-registered Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs), including PUA Agri Tourism Skills Development Center, also joined the activity by endorsing their graduates to participating companies, helping match skilled workers with employment opportunities aligned with their qualifications.
One of the highlights of the event was the hiring of 34 applicants on the spot by Prime Metro BMD Corporation, a leading heavy civil and industrial construction company based in the National Capital Region. The successful hiring reflects the strong collaboration among TESDA Isabela, its TVIs, and industry partners in producing competent and job-ready graduates.
The Job Fair also featured the participation of partner government agencies, including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), which provided employment facilitation, labor market information, and other support services to job seekers.
TESDA Isabela remains steadfast in its mission to strengthen workforce development by expanding access to quality technical vocational education, fostering industry partnerships, and creating more employment opportunities for every Isabeleños.
TESDA ISABELA BRINGS TVET SERVICES TO THE LAUNCH OF "LEGISHEAR: BAWAT BATAS MAHALAGA"
TESDA Isabela proudly joined the official launch of "LegisHear: Bawat Batas Mahalaga," a flagship initiative of the House of Representatives, held on July 31, 2026, at Isabela State University (ISU), Echague Campus, Echague, Isabela.
The Province of Isabela was selected as the pilot implementation site for the nationwide initiative, which seeks to strengthen public participation in the legislative process by bringing consultations and government services closer to the people. The activity runs from July 31 to August 1, 2026, before expanding to Butuan for Mindanao and Dumaguete City for the Visayas.
During the opening program, House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" G. Dy III underscored the importance of listening to the voices of communities in shaping responsive and people-centered legislation.
TESDA Isabela's participation was led by Provincial Director Vilma C. Cabrera together with TESDA Region II Regional Director Ashary A. Banto. They were joined by Ben-Hur Baniqued, Provincial Director of TESDA Nueva Vizcaya, John Eivor G. Orro, Acting Provincial Director of TESDA Quirino, Ma. Elena Narciso, Vocational School Superintendent of the Isabela School of Arts and Trades (ISAT), Engr. Dominador Dizon, Vocational School Superintendent of the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT), Alpha Garsuta, Administrator of the Isabela Provincial Training Center (IPTC), together with officials and personnel from TESDA Region II, TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs), Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs), and partner organizations.

A key highlight of TESDA's participation was the conduct of a Focus Group Discussion on Republic Act No. 12063, or the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework Act. The discussion gathered representatives from industry partners, employers, and Technical Vocational Institutions to exchange insights and recommendations aimed at strengthening enterprise-based training and aligning workforce development with industry needs.
