Performance Date: Sunday, December 8, 2019
The Candlelight Processional expertly captures the story of Christmas - as told by a celebrity narrator and accompanied by a mass choir and a professional 50-piece orchestra. Titusville High School Chorus will submit an audition for this performance. New this year: in order to appear on the recording each student must audition with Ms. Orr. The numbers this year will be limited to 75 singers which will help us align to Disney's vocal requirements while balancing our soprano/alto voices with the tenor/bass voices.
Participating students must:
1. attend 3 out 4 rehearsals
2. memorize the audition excerpts: Joy to the World, O Holy Night, Away in a Manger
3. memorize the processionals: O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark the Herald Angels Sings, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.
4. attend the recording
5. exhibit proper rehearsal etiquette
Please do not request to arrive late or leave early, we have a small window to rehearse and record. The 75 piece ensemble will record on Friday, September 6 from 2:30-3:15 pm. Students who are not selected to record the audition will still be eligible to serve as alternates in the event that a student is unable to fulfill his/her commitment. If selected for this year's production, date(s) will be announced in mid-October. Thank you for your support!
